Kids in Nature
Kids in Nature is a family-centered outdoor workshop experience designed to provide intentional, whole-child learning in nature. Think of it as a condensed version of the deeper learning experiences found in Families in Nature - offering families opportunities to slow down, connect, and explore together while learning practical ways to support development through everyday experiences outdoors.
These workshops go beyond simply spending time outside. Children and caregivers are guided through meaningful observations, hands-on exploration, stories, movement, and nature-based activities that encourage curiosity and transform simple moments into deeper learning opportunities. Along the way, families may explore social-emotional development, communication, problem-solving, regulation, creativity, and connection with the natural world.
Each workshop is unique and intentionally designed around the season, environment, and interests of participating children and families.
Kids in Nature is offered periodically throughout the year through collaborations such as Marine Mills Folk School and at various local trails and outdoor locations. Families are encouraged to stay connected through my Events and Facebook pages for upcoming opportunities. When registration becomes available, details and sign-up information will also be posted here.
